Community Forum II - 21 September 2008 @ Denmark Recreation Centre - Connectivity August 5, 2008
Posted by gill in : Uncategorized , add a commentThe second Community Forum to which all local community, sporting and recreational groups will be invited to participate, is planned for Sunday 21 September 2008 between 1:30pm - 4;30pm at the Denmark Recreation Centre’s Function room. A sumptuous afternon tea will be served as participants share ideas and take part in some community mapping and connectivity exercises, whilst acquiring some skills and support in progressing their own specific volunteer organisations.
This Forum follows the successful initial one held in June 2007, where a group of over 40 people workshopped their visions and aspirations of what they wanted for the future of our community and how we might progress these ideas into action.
Since that event many things have happened to improve community engagement and this second Forum will not only include a broader spectrum of local volunteers and community group representatives, but celebrate the outcomes and achievements of our Denmark Healthy Community Project as it culminates this year.
